Alone Together

Nowadays cellphone and social media are deeply involved in our lives. People use social media to make connections. However, in fact, the more we connect on social media, the more we feel lonely. People are losing physical and emotional connections.

 

As part of “alone together”, I decide to make this project to evoke people’s willing to put down their phones, and have more physical and emotional connection. It is really important to human society.

 

I made a series of jewellery pieces to represent this phenomenon. I visualized what are actually happening between human connections and the danger of social media. People are connected but not connected. We are all controlled by a power that we won’t think of.
