Parallel Universe

This is an artwork I made for people who feel lonely and always has been wondering.

 

I left my hometown when I was 14. Since then, I’ve been always move to different places, countries and never settled down. I’ve sometimes felt being isolated and hopeless. Everything feels familiar and somehow strange. I enjoy these adventures, but sometimes, missing the warmth of home.

 

I made this art piece to represent my situation. The eight cubes are eight planets in the universe. They represent different strange places. All the balls in the cubes represent the people who like me, always moving and wandering what is going on in life. Through the tubes, balls move from one place to another and try to settle down. However, when the cubes move again, some balls will move to another place.
